Some students approched me to pull my years of shooting portraits on location together and organise a MASTERCLASS.
That was the kickstart of the Masterclass ELKE BOCK. Now, who, where, when, ...all the bits and pieces a production needs to get of the ground.
No headless chicken, please,
good runners and
good weather.
Pray east towards the sun and hope for good ideas.
I needed something familiar first, excessible with good facilities for my own sake.
Good base goes a long way. Kenwood House, brilliant
English Heritage was actually really great.
Year ago we had a bridalwear fashion production inside Kenwood House, loved it.
Well, and it helps that Nick Knight is familiar face there as well.
Now, somebody relieable, warm harted, to give us a lift of the ground for a good start:
Karimah just got back in touch, after years, not having her around, missed her...
Theme: ARABIC SPRING with Karimah, fashion designer and so much more
cookbook is coming out this summer: HEAVERNLY BITES
at Kenwood House. GRANDIOUS and PHANTASTIC.
Weatherforcast: horrendous.....
Students , some bailed out.....
But we found a new make-up artist!!!
Urzsula brought the sunshine.
All concepts are wellcome: editorial, commercial, fashion, fine art, experimental.
With a small group of people it was actually easier to help on a very individual base.
As a THANK YOU for Karimah we pulled even a ID covershoot:
Glorious 80s, well her own quote is more like: "Avatar meets Victorian".
Her back has SERIOUS on display, honestly, I am not making it up.
The weather was difficult but the light was delicious. Thanks to the good spirit of my team the very first Masterclass was so joyfull in the English summer.
Update of more outcome will come soon and a rundown of the second Masterclass.
I had no idea what was round the corner when I called Jaeninne.....
to be continued
